Christine M. Klerlein, Director - 
Christine has been with Delaware Learning Institute of Cosmetology for many years.
She is the department head for the cosmetology program. Her teaching styles reflect Pivot Point’s Mindful Teaching.
In her current position she is the junior level educator, where she teaches most of the color design and men’s hair sculpture program.
She is a certified Redken colorist, a master educator with Milady, and has finished her Mindful Teaching program.

Cathy Butterworth, Educator -
My interest in education and wellness has been a constant
throughout the years. I have been in the health care profession
for many years, and massage therapy was the next natural step
for me. I have been an educator at Delaware Learning Institute
of Cosmetology for six years teaching wellness and massage
therapy. I work with an amazing team of professionals
dedicated to this school and its students.

Melody L. Morgan, Financial Aid Administrator -
Before attending Delaware Learning Institute of Cosmetology
as a full time student, I was working in the financial field for
about Ten years. In the financial field, what I enjoy most is
counseling and educating others on becoming financially stable.
After graduating Delaware Learning Institute of Cosmetology,
when the opportunity presented itself to join the DLI team, I
was super excited. Since first stepping through the door as a
student, and now in my current position, I have been truly blessed!

Allison Knox, Cosmetology Educator -
Ms. Ali is what her students call her. She is our level one educator.
She has worked in many of the areas well known spas and salons. Her students are her number one priority in her life.
She loves working with Pivot Point and feels it really prepares students for the real world.
Ms Ali is a certified Redken colorist, and has been thru vigorous Mindful Teaching Classes with Pivot Point.

Christa Showard, Cosmetology Educator -
Christa is the newest addition to our teaching staff. Christa is our senior level educator and also teaches our nail class in the evening.
Her students love what she has to offer.
She runs the student styling center, as well as prepares our senior students for the State Board exams, in which Christa is proud to report she has 100% pass rate.
Ms. Christa is a certified Redken colorist, and has just started her Mindful Teaching classes.

Cynthia Webster Evans, Cosmetology -
I love cosmetology! I graduated from Sussex Technical High School in 1989. While finishing up high school I worked at Operation Hair and Summer Place salons. When I was 18, I was offered a manager/stylist position at La Mirage salon in Bethany Beach, Delaware. I accepted this challenge and remained in this position for 18 years.
I recently decided to focus my career on the teaching aspect of this field. I am the newest addition to the Delaware Learning Institute of Cosmetology staff, so I am learning new things everyday. I have found the staff and students here at DLI so helpful and wonderful to work with. I feel as though I found a new home. The curriculum here at the school is so much more advanced than what I was expecting; it really teaches student for the real world experience. I also feel the better educated you are in this field the more success you will have when you graduate.
My years of experience in the salon helps prepare my students for the road ahead. I love this industry because it brings out the artistic creativity in everyone. Who would not love that?

Lachhimi Hass-Taylor, Esthetics -
I have experienced many rewarding achievements that have given me the leadership qualities to guide others with knowledge, skill and professionalism. My career started in a local spa/salon and advanced in allowing me the opportunity to participate with the opening of a corporate Spa in the Washington DC metro area. I have since held significant positions within the spa business. Holding my dual license in both Maryland and Delaware allows me to ensure accurate instruction and guidance for my future estheticians in both their preparation for a state exam and entry level position in today's spas.
I enjoy all aspects of the beauty industry and continue to learn as I help to motivate and instruct the future leaders of this successful industry.

Kimberly Caldwell, Cosmetology -
Ms. Kim is a recent addition to the Delaware Learning Institute of Cosmetology team. Upon completion of the teacher training program: she is now our level one freshman educator. Teaching comes as a personal passion and naturally the next step in an already successful cosmetology field. Ms. Kim also carries a certification in Hair Academy Hair Extensions, as well as Pivot Point's Mindful Teaching Programs.

Katy Carson, Cosmetology -
As the freshman level educator, I have worked at Delaware Learning Institute of Cosmetology since April of 2009. I also work as a hair stylist at The Phillip Stein Salon in Seaford. As the freshman level educator it is very important to me that my students learn the basics of hair sculpting, design, and coloring. The Pivot Point curriculum offers wonderful resources that we use in the classroom daily in order to help advance the students understanding of cosmetology. I completed my education at the Delaware Learning Institute of Cosmetology where I continue to provide the personalized attention and the focus on detail, which is a corner stone of Delaware Learning Institute of Cosmetology teaching philosophy. I look forward to working with motivated and dedicated students who want to become highly successfully, qualified cosmetology professionals.

Staci Wyatt, Career Planning Specialist -
After high school I dismissed my innate calling in the cosmetology field; attending Barton College and North Carolina State University receiving a B. A. in Mass Communications, Theatre, and English.
My past experience, over 10 years in marketing and sales, has prepared me significantly for the position of Career Planning Specialists and Admissions here at Delaware Learning Institute.
In addition to working at DLI, I am also a practicing stylist at one of the top salon at the beach, which gives me a chance to elevate my creativity. I strongly believe in continuing my education and constantly learning, further more, holding a certification from the Hair Academy in Hair Extensions.
Along with the DLI mission statement, I am committed to providing prospective students with a foundation for success in their areas of study. I have truly found my niche and love coming to work everyday.
